Deborah Damonte has over 30 years experience in all aspects of real property management.
She holds both the SCSM (Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager) from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and CPM (Certified Property Manager)from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) designations. Deborah served on the Executive Council for IREM Chapter 22 in 1995 and 1996 and was the Accredited Management Organization Chapter Representative in 1997. Deborah has been a speaker at several ICSC conventions over the past seven years and serves on the Northern California Program Committee for ICSC.
In 1976, Deborah Damonte joined Fox & Carskadon Management Corporation providing the management services for apartments, mobile home parks, shopping centers, medical/dental and office buildings. In 1981, she joined D.J. Wilson & Company and within 3 years rose to vice president in charge of the East Bay region. Deborah was involved in the management of a portfolio of 30 properties totaling 5 million square feet, which included four regional shopping centers. Deborah joined Riley/Pearlman/Mitchell in 1990 and opened their Northern California retail management office. She was responsible for the management of approximately 1 million square feet of neighborhood and community shopping centers and operation of the Northern California office. In 1993, Deborah joined Ravel Property Services and headed up the company's greater Sacramento operation which had management responsibilities for over 4 million square feet of commercial real estate.
Since 1990 Deborah has acted as a receiver on behalf of Sumitomo Bank, Praedium Pacific LLC, and several private lenders on numerous retail/office and industrial properties and continued to serve as a property manager on behalf of various receiverships.
Deborah joined Burnham Pacific Properties in 1997 and opened their Sacramento office. This office was responsible for the leasing, maintenance, operation and leasing of 1.2 million square feet of retail space in Northern California. In 1999 Deborah became a partner in GRE Management Services managing commercial properties in the Sacramento and Bay Area region.
Deborah formed an independent management company in April of 2001 to provide specialized management services to owners of problem investments or properties with special needs such as those just being completed and going through the final phases of construction and the first phases of tenant occupancy, currently providing management and consulting services on projects in Chico, Loomis, Sacramento, Elk Grove, Woodland, El Dorado County , Emeryville and Hayward.
